Conegliano station sits at the edge of the old town. The Duomo, Contrada Granda and the path up to the castle are a short walk. See the Conegliano guide.

By bus to Valdobbiadene

Valdobbiadene has no railway station. Buses are run by MOM (Mobilità di Marca), the Treviso province bus company.

  • Line 132, Conegliano → Valdobbiadene: about 55 minutes via Pieve di Soligo and Col San Martino. There are roughly 10–12 buses on school-term weekdays. Example: Conegliano Ruio 10:55 → Valdobbiadene 11:50. Last return on the day we checked: Valdobbiadene 19:20 → Conegliano 20:20.
  • Line 110, Treviso → Montebelluna → Valdobbiadene: about 1 hour 10 minutes, roughly hourly on weekdays from 06:20 to 19:50.
  • Sundays: line 110 runs only 4 buses from Treviso (13:15, 14:15, 16:15, 19:15). We found no Sunday timetable for line 132 from Conegliano, so don’t count on it.
  • Tickets: on board, €5 (up to 12 km), €7 (12–30 km) or €8 (30–50 km). You can tap a contactless card or phone, one traveller per card.
  • Some runs are marked “Riservata Abbonati”, for pass holders only.

The catch: buses connect the towns, not the wineries. Many wineries are up small roads in the hills. Without a car or a tour, plan on one booked winery within walking distance of your bus stop, or a taxi booked ahead.

Rental cars are picked up at Piazzale Roma or the airports; you can’t drive in Venice itself. In the hills the roads are narrow and winding. The real limit is the tasting: the driver has to skip it.

Taxis and private drivers

  • Co.Ta.Co. (Consorzio Taxi Conegliano): +39 0438 410210. It lists runs to Valdobbiadene and to Venice airport. It publishes no fares, so ask for a price when you book.
  • Private hire with driver (NCC): several companies offer day hire around the hills, some of them members of the Strada del Prosecco. Agree the price and hours in writing.
  • We found no source for taxi ranks in Valdobbiadene or the villages. Assume you must book.

By guided tour

A day tour picks you up in Venice (or meets you at a station), drives you to one or two family wineries and usually includes lunch. It’s the only option where everyone can taste and nobody plans the route. Full-day tours on GetYourGuide cost about €127–189 per person.
